Louisiana in Crisis: A Call to Defend Democracy As a mental health professional, I can tell you firsthand how afraid the citizens of Louisiana are of the current administration. They fear for their livelihoods, their loved ones, and even their lives. They are afraid of financial ruin, recession, and the power that Elon Musk wields in our government. The American people do not want to be ruled by billionaires who do not understand our lives. 19% of Louisiana citizens live in poverty, they live lives that Elon Musk could never begin to understand. Their hardships are something he knows nothing of and cares nothing about. A billionaire, who was not even born in our country, has taken over. The crux of America is freedom and that is being ripped from our grasp. I am writing you to beg you to speak up. Let the people of Louisiana know that you will not stand for this tyranny and fascism. The people are unsure and they need someone to stand up for what is right. And what Elon Musk is doing is not right. Use your position for good. For what it was meant for. Stand up.
