Launch a full investigation into the Reflecting Pool project and pursue every available legal avenue to make Donald Trump and his family personally repay the $14 million in taxpayer funds wasted on it. This project was a self-inflicted disaster — the pool was left in worse condition than before the work began, and the American public is footing the bill. This is governmental malpractice, plain and simple. The project followed a now-familiar pattern: a manufactured problem, unqualified associates handed the work, chaos from reckless planning, and then silence when the results were undeniable. The Trump family should not walk away from this. If a contractor destroys what they were hired to fix, they pay for it. The same standard applies here. My tax dollars paid for this mess. I expect a full accounting of where that $14 million went, who authorized the work, and what oversight — if any — was in place. Hold public hearings, subpoena the records, and make the responsible parties pay it back.
