I urge you to support dedicated funding for the ME/CFS Research Roadmap. This plan provides the NIH with a clear path to deliver real results for millions suffering from myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), a severely neglected debilitating condition with no effective treatment.
In 1992, Rep. Rosa DeLauro was shocked to learn that internal political extremists deliberately obstructed AIDS research at the CDC and weakened public health efforts across HHS. As a cancer survivor, she understood how personal and dangerous that sabotage was. Today she’s ranking member of House Appropriations Committee with direct influence on this outcome.
It’s time to break the legacy of political interference in science. The ME/CFS community deserves answers, treatment, and progress, not more delay.
Please champion funding for the ME/CFS Research Roadmap and stand up for science-based public health.
