As a North Bay resident, I want to thank you for standing up to limit ICE, CBP, and National Guard enforcement operations in the Bay Area. I strongly support your efforts to protect our communities from unnecessary and fear-driven federal actions. As a naturalized immigrant and daughter of a naturalized immigrant, I believe you can understand my concern for my family and other BIPOC in the Bay Area. These deployments would only create fear and distrust among immigrant families and disrupt the safety, stability, and progress our region has worked hard to build. California’s approach to community safety — grounded in inclusion and local priorities — is the right one. Please continue to use every tool available to prevent these federal agencies from targeting or intimidating our residents. I stand with you in defending California’s values of compassion, fairness, and local autonomy.
