No federal funding for Donald J Trump US Institute of Peace The Board of Peace was founded without congressional oversight or concurrence. Congress authorizes fund via the US budget. Without congressional oversight or authorization, it should not receive any funding from the United States government. It is concerning that the newly formed board is duplicating work done by other organizations such as the United Nations. Duplicate efforts usually indicate duplicate funding which is a waste of resources. The world needs to manage resources wisely.
