It was nice to see the Supreme Court remind Congress that their job includes taxation and power of the purse. The tariffs were a mess, alienated our trading partners, hurt businesses and farmers, eliminated 80K manufacturing jobs, created instability in the stock market, and cost Hoosiers money. As a tax payer, I am tired of paying for this administration's agenda which is waste, abuse, fraud, and cruelty. Do your constitutionally required job rather than ceding all authority to the Executive Branch. Congress should not only oversee taxes and the power of the purse, but also affordable and appropriate healthcare and economic activities for all Americans; humane treatment and due process for American citizens, immigrants, visitors to our country, and fishermen in the Caribbean; following the Constitution and our laws and international laws; hold sexual abusers and traffickers and those covering up the Trump-Epstein files accountable for their crimes; and working with our NATO and UN allies. Congress and the President and their administration are supposed to work for ALL Americans and make our lives better. That is not what is happening. I am really disappointed and upset with my representatives who are not representing me and other Hoosiers and where my tax dollars are going. Currently my tax dollars are going towards things that I am extremely against— pure cruelty, such as cutting healthcare, education, and economic development; building horrific detention centers and ICE and Border Control agents that are abusing and killing American citizens and immigrants on the streets and in detention centers; tearing down the east wing of the White House and eventually building a vanity ballroom; and covering the salaries of incompetent, corrupt, and cruel secretaries and administrators. Enough is enough. Do your job and stand up against the president and his administration and stand up for Hoosiers and all Americans.
