No US troops on the ground in Iran

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Van Duyne

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

March 29

I am writing to urge you to use all your power oppose this Republican administration’s plans to put U.S. troops on the ground in Iran. Iran is larger than Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Did we truly learn nothing from our failed invasions of those two countries? Given its mountainous terrain and decades of preparation, any invasion of Iran will become a meat grinder, where untold American soldiers will die needlessly. If this administration sends U.S. troops to Iran, their blood will be on the hands of every member of Congress who did not strongly oppose that action. Will that be you? Your staff reading this will also have the blood of our troops on their hands by willingly working with a member of Congress who blindly acquiesces to this Republican administration’s illegal warmongering. My wife and I strongly urge you to demand no U.S. troops be sent to Iran, and that this administration cease its illegal and needless war there.
