An Open Letter

To: Rep. Neguse, Sen. Hickenlooper, Sen. Bennet

From: A verified voter in Fort Collins, CO

June 21

I am writing as a concerned constituent to express my deep opposition to the recent moves by the Trump administration to sell off thousands of acres of Colorado’s public lands to private interests, as detailed in the recent 9NEWS report about the “Bug Beautiful Bill”. These public lands belong to all of us — they sustain our local economies, provide vital wildlife habitat, and offer recreational opportunities that are part of our Colorado way of life. Selling them off for short-term profit jeopardizes our environment, our outdoor heritage, and future generations’ access to these irreplaceable places. I urge you to take immediate action to block these sales and safeguard our public lands. Please stand with your constituents to defend our state’s natural treasures against irresponsible privatization and ensure that our public lands remain public. I expect your leadership and vocal opposition to this alarming policy, and I will be watching your actions closely on this matter.
