Please follow procedural norms and vet Executive candidates properly.
To: Sen. Young, Sen. Braun

As public servants entrusted with upholding democratic norms, we must prioritize following the established constitutional process for presidential appointments rather than circumventing it through recess appointments. History has shown the potential for abuse when presidents bypass Senate advice and consent. Maintaining checks and balances is crucial for a healthy democracy. I urge you to take a principled stance against any attempts to make unvetted recess appointments, which could undermine faith in our institutions. We must work together to ensure all nominees receive proper scrutiny and that qualified candidates are confirmed through regular order. Doing otherwise would set a troubling precedent that erodes accountability.
