President Trump signed an Executive Order basically designed to limit voting by people he thinks won’t support him or the GOP. It appears outrageous in its intent to take elections away from the states and give the power over elections, and all decisions on who gets to vote, to the federal government. It’s no surprise that the same man that claims he won the 2020 election and advances nonsense conspiracy theories now wants total control over elections. Just another rip in the Constitution. A Constitution that created decentralized elections under the control of the states to prevent a despot from seizing control. And yet, here we are. A despot trying to seize. State and local officials have demonstrated time and time again that we can trust them to run fair elections They are up to the task of ensuring only eligible voters participate in federal elections, and that includes the citizenship requirement. Mail voting is safe, secure, and used by the man who wants to deny it to the rest of us. This EO won’t make voting safer or more secure, it will just keep people who are entitled to from exercising their right to vote. As was pointed out by the AZ AG: “President Trump can sign all the executive orders he wants. It won't change the United States Constitution. States run their elections, not the President of the United States, not the Department of Homeland Security.” The GOP Congress needs to step up and do their duty to the country. Stop aiding and abetting the taking away of our rights as Americans. And while you’re at it, review the 25th Amendment. Your guy has gone so far around the bend we can’t even see him anymore. There’s something wrong with him. And you best start doing something about all the damage that is being done by him. In the meantime, we’ll all chew on the latest… “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.” Is he talking about Iran? Or America?
