I am extremely angry and devastated to learn that Travis air force base is being used by ICE to deport people. There has to be a way that our state government limits ICE activity to an absolute minimum. It is appalling that CDCR still hands people who have served their time over to ICE immediately on release (Governor must stop this). Considering the massive tax funds remitted from California to the federal government there must be some leverage there. How are people transported to the base? Surely there is a way to stop this. Immigrants are NOT criminals but the federal government is criminalizing them. We have the power to stop that happening at least in our State. California can set an example of resistance, for all the States to both the violent and malevolent ICE operations ( including what happens in the detention centers) and the many illegal current executive and federal department orders.
