Do Not Punish Al Green
To: Rep. Latta
From: A constituent in Lorain, OH
March 6
It is unacceptable to censure Representative Al Green for exercising his freedom of speech by calling out false statements during the State of the Union address. This censure stands in stark contrast to the lack of consequences for Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's disruptive behavior of yelling at President Biden during his address to Congress. Punishing Rep. Green while allowing such conduct from others is a clear double standard. As elected officials, you have a duty to uphold democratic principles and free speech, not suppress dissenting voices. True leadership requires accountability, not partisan hypocrisy. I urge you to reconsider this unjust censure and instead focus on uniting the nation through truth and integrity in governance.
