Speak out against the misogynistic name calling!

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Carter

From: A constituent in Leander, TX

November 21

As an American, I am demanding that Congress publicly and forcefully condemn President Donald Trump’s ongoing misogynistic attacks on women. In recent months, the President has repeatedly targeted women in Congress and the press with degrading, demeaning language: • Calling Representatives Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “very low IQ” and challenging them to take an “IQ test.” • Claiming he will “protect women whether they like it or not,” a patronizing and infantilizing remark criticized even by former aides. • Insulting Vice President Kamala Harris with repeated gendered slurs. • And most recently, aboard Air Force One on November 14, 2025, telling Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey: “Quiet. Quiet, piggy.” while pointing a finger in her face—an act the White House then attempted to justify without evidence. This behavior is not normal. It is not acceptable. It is a deliberate pattern of misogyny from the President of the United States, and Congress’s silence only enables it. I call on Congress to: 1. Publicly denounce President Trump’s sexist remarks, including his “Quiet, piggy” comment. 2. Introduce and support a bipartisan resolution condemning gender-based insults toward women in public life. 3. Defend the press, women in leadership, and democratic norms by making clear that misogyny from the Oval Office will not be tolerated. When the President uses sexist slurs to silence a woman doing her job, he attacks not only that individual woman but the integrity of our democracy. We urge immediate action. Silence is complicity.
