I'm writing to urge you to hold this Republican administration and its ICE “officers” accountable for the murder of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. Good was a US citizen with no criminal record. Video shows her being shot—three times—while complying with ICE “officers.” She posed no threat to anyone. An ambulance responding to the shooting was not allowed to assist her for 15 minutes. That is not self-defense. That is murder. Now we learn the administration has banned the FBI from helping with the investigation. That is a cover up. While I'm horrified by the murder, I'm not surprised. This Republican administration's ICE “officers” have been allowed unchecked power for more than a year. This was inevitable. ICE must not be allowed to act with impunity. My wife and I ask you to do everything in your power to hold ICE and this administration accountable for the crimes they commit. Every delay is another potential for what happened in Minneapolis to happen again. Please, act now.
