I am writing to you today to implore you, to beg you, to stop Trump from selling our Public Lands to fund his Sovereign Wealth Fund. Those public lands belong to the American people. They belong to me, just as much as they belong to you. No one should be allowed to steal from the American people to enrich themselves. And I do mean steal, because as you may or may not be aware, Trump's proposed Sovereign Wealth Fund will have no Congressional oversight. He will sell our public lands to the highest bidder, possibly a foreign adversary like China or Russia, and will pocket the money himself. And you, and I, and the American people will be left with nothing. So again, I am asking you to please do what is right and defend what rightfully belongs to the American people. Protect our public lands. Do not allow Trump to enrich himself at the expense of our country. YOU ARE THE CHECKS AND BALANCES, and if you choose to do nothing you will have betrayed your duty, your oath of office, and the people of Nebraska.
