Legislative action to protect American White Collar workers from offshoring

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Crenshaw

From: A constituent in Spring, TX

November 3

Representatives, I want to write to you saying I support The Halting International Relocation of Employment (HIRE) Act (S. 2976), introduced by Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) on October 6, 2025, this has been referred to the Senate Finance Committee. I support this bill due to it taking a fire action against the outsourcing of white collar workers, which is happening at a rapid pace. Many companies have stated the are laying people off due to AI but have been found to have just opened a new facility in India, where they have outsourced work at a fraction of the cost. To me American corporations outsourcing American Jobs and charging Americans more than ever for their services is outrageous and cannot be justified. I hope you agree and will take immediate action to stop this. I have reviewed other proposals such as the No Tax Breaks for Outsourcing Act (S. Introduced by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-RI, and Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-TX), and feel the HIRE act is the most practical. Whote collar work in America needs to be protected from this evil practice and I am asking upon my senators and congressman to take immediate action to save white collar work in the US.
