Bring Abrego Garcia home

To: Sen. Curtis, Rep. Kennedy, Sen. Lee

From: A constituent in Murray, UT

April 16

The Trump administration's actions in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case are a disturbing assault on due process and the rule of law. Despite the Supreme Court's ruling to facilitate Mr. Abrego Garcia's release from wrongful detention in El Salvador, the administration remains defiant and appears intent on keeping him imprisoned through unlawful means. This is an unacceptable violation of constitutional rights that should outrage all Americans who believe in justice and human rights. The slanderous allegations against Mr. Abrego Garcia as a gang member or criminal lack any credible evidence, stemming solely from a disgraced police officer's claims that were never substantiated. Depriving someone of their liberty based on such flimsy accusations is a travesty of justice. Furthermore, the administration's efforts to vilify and mischaracterize Mr. Abrego Garcia reveal a desperate attempt to justify their unlawful actions. I urge you to take a firm stand against these egregious violations of due process and civil liberties. The United States must act swiftly to secure Mr. Abrego Garcia's return and uphold the constitutional principles that define our nation. Allowing this injustice to persist would set a dangerous precedent that endangers the rights of every American citizen. I implore you to use your authority and influence to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home and hold the Trump administration accountable for their flagrant disregard for the rule of law.
