Restore Public Trust—Hold Leadership Accountable Over Epstein File Promises

The recent Justice Department memo confirms there is no evidence Jeffrey Epstein maintained a “client list,” contradicting earlier assurances from Attorney General Pam Bondi that such records were “on my desk”. Bondi’s backtrack—followed by DOJ and FBI declarations that no incriminating list exists and no further files will be released—has sparked widespread concern among conservative voters, with prominent MAGA influencers demanding her removal. This episode—a high-profile promise unfulfilled—undermines public confidence in our government’s commitment to transparency and accountability. The conservative base supported the pledge to expose all relevant Epstein documents to ensure no individual, regardless of status, escaped scrutiny. It is incumbent upon Congress and the White House to take decisive action that restores trust and reinforces principles of honesty and integrity: 1. Initiate a formal review into the handling of Epstein-related disclosures to determine why initial claims were made without evidence. 2. Appoint a conservative-aligned special counsel to oversee all sealed Epstein files and evaluate the need for further disclosure, balancing victim privacy against public interest . 3. Require Attorney General Bondi’s accountability, including a hearing to explain her statements and clarify whether her office acted in bad faith or in error. Holding officials to account for misrepresentation is not partisanship—it is sound governance. This administration has championed law and order and vowed to protect individual liberty through transparency. Failing to act now risks eroding that credibility. Demotion or dismissal is appropriate when a senior official makes public commitments without proof and then reverses course without explanation. That precedent must not be ignored. Respectfully, voters across the political spectrum expect their leaders to enforce standards of credibility and transparency. Addressing this matter promptly will reinforce public faith in conservative leadership and the institutions they uphold.
