Protect Medicaid, reform healthcare costs fairly for all
To: Rep. Evans

Medicaid provides vital healthcare coverage for over 72 million low-income and disabled Americans. Proposed cuts of $880 billion to Medicaid over the next decade would have devastating impacts. Millions would lose access to essential medical services, straining remaining healthcare providers and increasing costs for everyone. Rather than slash Medicaid, we should address the root causes of high US healthcare spending through measures like reining in predatory practices by insurance companies and middlemen, promoting cost-effective primary care, and incentivizing development of affordable treatments that improve health outcomes. Cutting Medicaid is not the solution - it will only make our healthcare system more costly and inaccessible. I urge you to protect this vital program and support comprehensive reforms to make healthcare more affordable for all.
