I urge you to endorse Mamdani as mayoral candidate. This is your opportunity to embrace what the people on the left and center left truly want: for the Democratic Party to take a strong stance in support of Palestine and to focus on kitchen table issues like housing. The democratic leadership must accept the reality that they can’t keep focusing on going back to the good old days of Obama and Clinton. Those days are gone. I have been voting for you because the GOP is a steaming pile of hot trash, but I am very disappointed with your shortsightedness and inability to speak to the base. This is your opportunity to listen to your electorate rather than ignoring them and then lose the next election.
