I am truly frightened that so many people across so many areas (law firms, journalists and broadcasting stations, educational institutions, businesses, government…) are scared of Donald Trump and his bullying. Are you one of them? We are at a crossroads. We are seeped in McCarthyism. We are seeped in the demise of our democracy. After what the Nazis did to Germany, we said “never again”. Yet here we are. The only way to stop our demise is for a majority of you (Senators and Congressmen) to band together against the bully. Say “this is not ok. This is not what America is. It is my duty to preserve democracy”. Please stop the slashing of our institutions. Please stop the tariffs, please stop the alienation of our allies. Please stop Donald Trump. Please do your job. Be a hero, don’t be complicit in the demise of our democracy. Your constituents are watching and begging you to help us. The world is watching. History will judge what you do.
