Yesterday my daughters and I watched Eons on PBS passport. They researched what they need for their European trip with the Girl Scouts this summer on Rick Steve’s programming. I got some vital national News on NPR during my commute. They listened to the classical WFSU station while they did their schoolwork. I researched a local issue on WFSU’s website. Public media gives multiple levels of value to my family and to our community. It provides an outsized benefit for the very small amount of money that the federal government spends on them. We need to protect funding for public media.
