I am writing today in support of science, the science community, and the scientific method. I emphasize the extremely important research step of peer review. The science community and its knowledge should have far more influence than politicians without the same knowledge and expertise. Please play your part in preserving the role of American science by opposing any changes that would diminish the role of peer review in the face of political influence.
