Demand that your colleagues not be weak-willed people caving to this administration and cementing the party as one with no ability to show unity and integrity. Demand better more outspoken leadership from the tepid leaders in each house currently. We had an opportunity to feel powerful and hopeful and couldn’t even capitalize on it for a week. I want to hear the outrage and I want to hear a plan to avoid this type of capitulation. I understand this is a diverse coalition, but the reason for that is supposed to be listening to a wide range of constituents, not ignoring them! People cannot tolerate one heartbreak after the next and maintain the motivation to stay engaged and keep turning out at the polls. What are you doing to apply pressure to your peers and to your leaders? I want to add that I’m referencing the caving on reopening the government without reasonable concessions from this authoritarian regime.
