Support Healthy Funding for NASA Science

To: Sen. Schiff, Rep. Chu, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in Pasadena, CA

July 15

I am writing to thank you and your colleagues for working to restore critical funding for NASA’s science programs in recent appropriations discussions. It is encouraging to see bipartisan recognition of how essential these programs are to our nation’s leadership in space, Earth science, climate research, and technological innovation. NASA’s science programs inspire future generations, drive American innovation, and deliver real benefits here on Earth. Continued and increased investment ensures the United States remains at the forefront of discovery while supporting thousands of high-skilled jobs across the country. These investments help us better understand our changing planet, explore the universe, and strengthen our economy through technological advances. As you work with your colleagues to pass a final budget, I urge you to support not only the restoration of NASA science funding but also to build upon it. Increasing the science budget over FY25 levels will provide long-term stability for these programs and allow the United States to lead with ambition and vision in the years ahead. Thank you for your leadership and for standing up for America’s commitment to science, exploration, and innovation.
