While we’re on the subject of fraud…a subject the current president actually is an expert on, being found guilty on 34 charges of business fraud in 2024… The Trump administration seems to be salting the mine in the media, claiming blue states, Somalis, all immigrants, and Democrats in general are getting away with raiding the government by massive fraud. Without evidence of course, but who needs that anymore. Why is he doing this? Perhaps as an explanation for the sudden depletion of the trust funds that are used to pay Medicare and Social Security. In March 2025, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated the trust fund that pays for Medicare A would be solvent until 2052. On Monday, it updated its projections, saying the funds will run out in 2040. The CBO also expects the Social Security trust fund to run dry a year earlier than previously expected, by the end of 2031. As reported in Fortune magazine, policy changes by the Republicans under Trump, especially the tax cuts in the OBBB budget reconciliation bill passed by the GOP Congress has “drastically shortened the financial life spans of both Medicare and Social Security, accelerating their paths toward insolvency.” Between Trump’s ridiculous statement that if the administration finds enough fraud it can balance the budget overnight, leading to an insistence that cuts to Medicaid are necessary because of that fraud, it sure looks like the administration is trying to distract attention from the CBO’s report that Trump’s tax cuts have cut the solvency of Social Security and Medicare by more than a decade. Instead, they are hoping to convince voters that anyone but them are at fault. As usual. Trump and his administration are destroying the financial society of America and our citizens. And you have helped him every step of the way. We see who is responsible for it all. And all the smoke and mirrors, hate, lies, and divisive, destructive rhetoric will not change any of it. Please explain why Medicare and Social Security have been so suddenly depleted under your watch. Without saying Biden, immigrants, Somalis, blue states, or Democrats…
