Uphold constitutional balance of power, resist executive overreach

February 22

In our constitutional system, the principle of separation of powers and the system of checks and balances are vital for maintaining a democratic balance and preventing executive overreach. It is deeply concerning to witness attempts by the executive branch to accumulate excessive power and sideline the roles of Congress and the judiciary. As representatives, it is your duty to uphold the Constitution and serve as a counterweight to potential abuses of executive authority. Congress must exercise its rightful oversight and legislative responsibilities, including control over government finances and spending. Permitting the concentration of power in the hands of a single individual or branch undermines the foundations of our republic. We call upon you to fulfill your oath to support and defend the Constitution against all threats, foreign and domestic. Stand firm in your role as a co-equal branch of government, and resist any efforts to diminish Congressional authority or compromise the system of checks and balances. The American people rely on you to safeguard our democratic institutions and ensure that no person or faction becomes too powerful. The future of our nation depends on maintaining a robust separation of powers and a healthy balance among the three branches of government. We urge you to take decisive action to uphold these fundamental principles and prevent any further erosion of our Constitutional order.
