The resolution to bring articles of impeachment against the former president to a vote must proceed without being tabled. Transparency and accountability demand that each representative's stance on this pivotal issue is made clear to their constituents. The numerous well-documented transgressions alleged in the articles, from obstructing the peaceful transfer of power to violating his oath of office, are of paramount significance and cannot be dismissed or swept under the rug. A vote on the articles is imperative to uphold the democratic principles this nation was founded upon and serve as a deterrent against any future dereliction of duty by our elected leaders. Failing to allow an up-or-down vote would be an abdication of Congress' constitutional obligations. The integrity of our system of government hinges on this matter receiving the full consideration it merits.
