37% of Arkansans don’t have enough food. 1.14M Arkansas don’t have enough food to meet their needs. 14% of Arkansans, 432k get no food assistance and are hungry. 23%, 710k Arkansans get support through SNAP or WIC and are still hungry. 14% 432k are only not hungry because of support. The remaining 47% meet their needs with no support at all. This is 15 pts below the national average. This isn’t made up numbers, this is from the food banks in the state actually trying to help people. Cutting SNAP because of “fraud” is really working. Glad to see our priorities are in line with helping those less fortunate than us.
