Elect a New Senate Majority Leader in January

From: A constituent in Denver, CO

November 6

I am writing to ask you NOT to support Senator Chuck Schumer for Majority Leader when the Senate convenes in January. While Sen. Schumer has served the party faithfully over the years, I believe this election strongly shows the desire for new, younger leadership in the Democratic party. I hope you can work with other senators to select a younger party leader who can work to generate excitement among voters as well as push for real change and not just the status quo. I strongly believe that Democrats at the state and federal level must seize this moment to generate real change that voters can feel -- we must be more than the "not Trump" party. I realize Trump is still President, but the Senate can still play a leadership role in forcing Republicans to take hard votes. I do not believe Sen. Schumer is the right leader for this moment. Thank you for considering this issue.
