Request Impeachment

To: Sen. Boozman, Rep. Womack, Sen. Cotton

April 8

Greetings, We find ourselves in a moment of uneasy calm, marked by a tentative ceasefire in a conflict that many believe was initiated and sustained for personal and political gain. At such a time, silence or inaction from Congress raises serious concerns. To refrain from calling for impeachment suggests either agreement with the president’s actions or reluctance to speak out due to potential personal or political consequences. Neither position reflects the responsibility entrusted to your office. As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, its global standing and credibility have been called into question. Many Americans feel that the leadership guiding us has fallen short of the competence, preparation, and integrity required by the office. This perception extends beyond the presidency to members of the cabinet, whose actions and qualifications warrant closer scrutiny. History reminds us that democratic institutions depend on the courage of those elected to uphold them. We often reflect on how other nations have succumbed to unchecked power, confident that we would act differently. Yet, the strength of our system depends on whether those within it are willing to exercise their authority when it matters most. Call for Trump’s impeachment. As a member of Congress, you are entrusted with serving as an independent and coequal branch of government—a critical check on executive power. I urge you to act with resolve, to uphold your oath to the Constitution, and to take seriously the mechanisms available to ensure accountability. These circumstances, warrant action. Initiate impeachment proceedings without delay.
