I'm writing about the special session on congressional redistricting. I'm demanding that you oppose any map that eliminates the second majority-Black district and dilutes Black voting power. Black Alabamians are 27% of our state, and federal courts have already ruled that we deserve fair representation within the 7 congressional districts in Alabama. Reverting to the blocked 2023 map invites another costly legal fight Alabama has lost before. Please vote against / veto any plan that doesn't fully comply with the Voting Rights Act. This is what the majority of Alabamians! We’re sick and tired of our legislators’ and governor’s racist policies and bills, it’s embarrassing!
