No law-enforcement agency should operate with secrecy that denies the public transparency and accountability. When ICE agents conceal their identities, wear masks, or conduct operations without clear identification, it creates fear, invites abuse, and undermines constitutional protections.
Unidentified enforcement erodes trust, violates basic principles of due process, and puts both residents and officers at risk. If ICE is acting lawfully, it should have no reason to hide.
I urge you to require ICE agents to clearly identify themselves, prohibit masked enforcement except in narrowly defined circumstances, and enforce strict limits on warrantless searches and raids.
Transparency is not optional. Unmask ICE and uphold the rule of law.
