Last night Danish troops—the same troops who stood shoulder to shoulder with US troops in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021—arrived in Greenland to defend the island from the United States of America. Meanwhile Trump descends on Davos to continue his worldwide crusade to pillage and conquer. While world leaders seem to stand wringing their hands. Expecting some sort of agreeable understanding and kumbaya will result. Ha. Proving that it is absolutely true that doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is indeed madness. His persecution complex and massive aggrievement is finally fully unleashed on the world. Receiving a second-hand Nobel didn’t appease him, it only made him angrier. Even though he accepted it. And posted a grimacing pic of himself doing so. So with his jilted lover vibe in full swing he’s turned to attacking allies. His fixation on acquiring Greenland coupled with Nobel Peace Prize envy is such that he’s willing to risk economic stability. And the NATO alliance. But that’s not just true of Trump—it’s true of his entire administration of people waging war on America because they never got invited to a party in high school. So while his own country burns from the fires he keeps setting, Europe waits to see what new horror awaits them. Here’s hoping when faced with a potential repeat of malignant history they’ve experienced in the past, they are able to muster more courage than our own GOP Congress and confront it head on. Because they know what can happen if they don’t. There has got to be some courage left in this world that can actually do something to restore some sanity. Somewhere. Somehow. History is waiting to be written. Don’t let America be the bad guy in it.
