The deeply troubling record of Emil Bove for a lifetime federal judgeship warrants his outright rejection by the Senate Judiciary Committee. More the 75 former judges across the political spectrum have forcefully called for opposing his confirmation. Bove has been repeatedly accused of unethical and likely illegal conduct while serving at the highest levels of the Justice Department. A whistleblower, former DOJ attorney Erez Reuveni, has provided compelling evidence and is willing to testify under oath, yet the Senate has thus far failed to hear this crucial testimony of his misconduct. Bove has also been mired in controversial actions like investigating those who worked on the January 6th insurrection cases and dropping charges against a major political ally of the president. Such brazen conduct smacks of conflicts of interest and the misuse of prosecutorial powers for political purposes. The charges against Bove paint a clear picture of someone unfit for such a powerful position on the federal bench. I urge you to uphold the sanctity of the federal judiciary by rejecting Emil Bove's nomination to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.
