The Senate must not pass the NDAA in its current form! Yesterday the House passed the $1.15 trillion dollar National Defense Authorization Act. This bill includes section 219, a provision in the bill that would establish the United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative. GOP Rep. Thomas Massie (Ky.), who led an unsuccessful effort to remove Section 219 from this bill earlier this week, said this provision “tragically merges our military and supply chains with Israel’s.” This was included despite the fact that Americans are increasingly unhappy with our close political connections and financial support of Israel. The NDAA includes the SAVE Act. The two were merged despite how unpopular the SAVE Act is with voters. Even the Republicans in the House and Senate have refused to pass the SAVE Act in all its forms up until this point. These two issues are so alarming that it almost makes one forget the eye popping budget, which is higher that ever before, which will be left in the hands of Trump and Hegseth. Both of these men have given the American voters thousands of reasons to doubt their leadership and their desire to serve the public instead of themselves. All of these issues lead me to write demanding that this bill not pass the Senate while they still include both the SAVE Act and the further meshing of our military with Israel's. They are a terrorist state. Full stop. Any final form of the NDAA must strike these two portions from their final passage. In addition, Congress must demand a full accounting of Hegseth's mismanagement of this fiscal year's budget, and get a comprehensive outline of what he plans to do with such a staggering sum next fiscal year!
