Ongoing ICE activities
To: Pres. Trump
From: A constituent in La Grange, TX
January 12
Recent ICE activity represents a constitutional crisis, not a policy disagreement. Federal officers breaking down doors, detaining people without clear legal justification, and attempting to suppress or intimidate lawful protest violates the First Amendment’s protections of speech and assembly and the Fourth Amendment’s protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. This is federal force directed at civilians, not legitimate immigration enforcement.
You have a sworn duty to defend the Constitution against federal abuse of power. I expect immediate public hearings, full transparency, and the use of every tool available to you, oversight authority, subpoenas, funding restrictions, and leadership accountability, to halt this conduct now.
