You need to oppose any federal appropriations bill that strips funding and access to gender-affirming care. A widespread ban on federal funding will cause hundreds of thousands of trans Americans to lose access to life-saving health care, and endanger patients, providers and educational institutions across the country. I’m scared that a federal ban would also be used to criminalize care in every regard. Gender affirming care reduces rates of self harm and suicidality. Taking it away is consigning innocent people to a life better left unlived.
