Demand Answers on the Iran MOU and What America Lost

To: Rep. Veasey, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

June 19

The MOU Trump signed with Iran is an admission of failure dressed up as diplomacy. The US and Israel launched this war, and after more than 100 days of fighting, we got a deal that abandons regime change, lifts the naval blockade, suspends oil sanctions, releases $24 billion in frozen Iranian funds, and commits to $300 billion in reconstruction. Iran's missile program and support for Hezbollah were, in Trump's own deal, "definitively removed from the agenda." That's not a win. That's a capitulation with a signing ceremony. I want to know what accountability looks like here. Congress needs to scrutinize this MOU line by line, demand full disclosure of any side agreements, and hold hearings on how US war goals collapsed so completely. The 60-day negotiation window is already ticking. Israel is still striking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon despite the ceasefire, which means this deal is already fraying. If this administration gets a pass now, the next reckless military adventure will come with the same lack of consequences. Push for oversight before the final agreement is locked in.
