STOP ISRAEL’S GENOCIDE, SIEGES, AND WAR ESCALATIONS

To: Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper, Rep. Crow

I am demanding immediate action to stop U.S. complicity in Israel’s genocide, occupation, forced starvation, and regional escalations. Cosponsor H.R. 3565, the Block the Bombs Act, and if you are in the Senate, introduce and cosponsor companion legislation immediately. The U.S. must stop transferring the bombs, artillery, tank ammunition, and other weapons Israel uses to devastate Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank. Congress must also reject AIPAC’s anti-democratic pressure campaign and stop allowing a pro-Israel lobby to dictate U.S. foreign policy while civilians are starved, displaced, bombed, and occupied. Israel is not merely “defending itself.” It is expanding occupation and annexation under cover of war. Recent reporting shows Israel issuing a seizure order for land in Jenin’s Area A — land that under Oslo is supposed to be under Palestinian civil and security control — apparently for a military base near Jenin refugee camp. This is part of a broader military and settlement push aimed at fragmenting and surrounding Palestinian communities. In Gaza, Israel must be forced to end its illegal and inhumane blockade and comply with the ceasefire agreement it has continuously ignored. Reports show aid has fallen far short of agreed levels; humanitarian groups are being obstructed; World Central Kitchen has had to cut meal distribution; and Palestinians are still facing hunger, displacement, and Israeli attacks. Netanyahu is now openly pushing to expand Israeli control to 70% of Gaza, a direct attack on the ceasefire and a blueprint for permanent displacement. Congress must stop rewarding this. No more weapons. No more diplomatic cover. No more excuses. I also demand that Congress oppose U.S. escalations against Iran, Lebanon, and Cuba. The answer to regional crisis is diplomacy, not more bombing, blockades, sanctions, proxy wars, or threats. Sanctions and blockades do not just pressure governments; they cripple civilian life by restricting food, fuel, medicine, banking, reconstruction, and humanitarian work. Congress must also end sanctions on humanitarian, legal, diplomatic, and human-rights groups and individuals, including those targeted for supporting ICC accountability. Sanctioning lawyers, judges, investigators, Palestinian human-rights organizations, and humanitarian actors is an authoritarian attack on international law and an attempt to protect Israeli officials from accountability. I am asking you to act with moral clarity: support the Block the Bombs Act, introduce Senate companion legislation, reject AIPAC, end U.S. participation in escalations against Iran, Lebanon, and Cuba, lift sanctions that harm civilians and humanitarian work, and use every tool available to force Israel to end the blockade of Gaza and comply with the ceasefire. Anything less is complicity.
