Noted legal experts writing in Just Security have confirmed there is no constitutional barrier to prosecuting Trump family members and Trump Organization entities under RICO — even while a president is in office. Legal analysts writing in Slate have argued that Trump's documented pattern of extortion against law firms, solicitation of foreign payments through crypto, and obstruction of regulatory oversight constitutes a textbook civil and criminal RICO pattern. The predicate acts are extortion, bribery, wire fraud, and obstruction of justice — all listed in the statute. The steps I am asking you to take are clear: (1) Use your committee authority to subpoena Trump Organization, World Liberty Financial, and Fight Fight Fight LLC records immediately.
