Congress must take control of the Idiot’s war. If Trump gets back to the JCPOA agreement not to pursue a nuclear weapon, the US will be worse off in two regards. First, after Trump walked away from the JCPOA in 2018, Iran began increasing its stockpile of enriched uranium, which it did from 2018 through 2026. Thus, Iran has MORE enriched uranium than it did in 2018 because Trump walked away from the JCPOA. Second, Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz. Even if Iran agrees to “re-open” the Strait, it seems unlikely that Iran will surrender control of the Strait. Thus, Trump’s war appears to have permanently shifted the balance of power in the Middle East—in favor of Iran.
