I am urging you to take immediate action against the president’s executive order creating the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This unelected advisory body has sweeping influence, minimal oversight, and is breaking the law. It undermines safeguards for all Americans, and threatens our constitutional system of checks and balances. I’m asking you to publicly call for hearings on DOGE, demand full transparency of its activities, demand proper handling and disposal of any confidential information it may have obtained from the agencies it is interacting with, and support legislation to disband it immediately. I would also argue that a full background check should be required on each of the members, so that we know what and who has had access to our government's data. Thank you.
