Please explain to me, in the simplest words possible, what is wrong with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These all seem like very good and desirable things to me. When we talk about the promise of America and freedom and equality, DEI is the foundation of that ideal. We cannot have true equality until everyone has a fair chance to succeed. These anti-DEI initiatives seem to me like the work of mediocre white men who understand that they cannot compete with strong women and POC when the playing field is leveled, so they instead try to burn it all down. I'll let you in on a secret - it won't work. The decent people of this country and of the world value diversity and understand that we are a much better country and much better people because of it. You should be truly ashamed of your complicity in this movement. History will not remember you fondly. Please take some time for self reflection and consider putting your constituents and your country ahead of your political party and your own base ambitions. Try to recall why it was you wanted to become a public servant in the first place. See if you can turn things around and actually help the people you claim to represent. done'
