The SAVE Act has returned to the legislative cycle as the SAVE America Act. Either way, the requirement to provide a birth certificate or passport at the polls is voter suppression, plain and simple. It is an attempt by the government to overextend its reach and control who is allowed to vote. There are already provisions at the state level meant to recognize and combat fraud; we do not need federal interference in this matter. There are many hardworking and dependable Americans - poor and rural citizens, seniors, married women - who will be barred from voting due to lack of documents or name mismatches. Vote NO on the SAVE America Act!
