Preserve local curriculum autonomy for Texas educators

To: Dir. Nelson

From: A verified voter in Wylie, TX

November 17

The Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials should not include the Bible as required reading, as mandating religious texts would raise significant legal and constitutional concerns regarding the separation of church and state in public education. A request is made to reconsider any proposed inclusion of the Bible or other sacred texts in the state-developed curriculum materials to ensure they remain secular and do not promote or endorse any particular religion over others. Public school curricula should focus on academic standards without religious indoctrination.
