Let Michigan follow Utah and usher in balcony solar products for legal use. Utah is the first State to authorize the use of plug and play solar units that can use the sun to offset electricity costs without the need for a lot of set up or materials. They do not feed back into the grid so they are safe in a power outage. I would love to put one on my porch! Europe has been using this technology for years with great success.
