An Open Letter

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A verified voter in Grapevine, TX

July 1, 2025

Well - you did it. You voted yes. This is despicable and evil and the worst thing is you KNOW it. Almost 200 Rural hospitals will be closed down. You know how long it takes to drive from big city to big city in Texas! We can only hope no one dies while in transport during an emergency but god help them in paying the ambulance bill if they survive. Not to mention ALL of our healthcare copays etc will sky rocket to compensate for the Medicaid $ loss. Are you going to help the over 56% of seniors pay their long term bills or personally pay to keep said senior centers open that rely on Medicaid? We all know the answer to that. How could you possibly vote yes to something so heinous and just cruel? HOW? Guess you are planning to take off to Cancun or wherever not here when we lose electricity in the state again. With the cut back on monies for alternate energy coupled with climate change Texas is going to either burn or freeze. But you obviously do not care. You obviously don't care that our bills paying for said unreliable energy are also going to skyrocket. You did all this, hurt so many people and proved time and time again you are anything but ProLife just to appease your overlords. You are weak. You should be ashamed. You are supposed to be there representing us, your constituents. Protect and improve our lives. You've done nothing but enhance your own life and proved you are the furthest thing from an honorable, christian, statesman and human. I hope you reap everything you've sown for the rest of us all because you were either too scared, too horrid or too greedy to actually fight. Signed a disgusted Texas resident.
