Block CPSC's Illegal Seizure of Private Patient Medical Records Stop the CPSC's scheme to collect private medical records from emergency rooms nationwide. The agency is pressuring hospitals to hand over names, addresses, diagnoses, and other personal details for over 10,000 diagnostic conditions — including suicide attempts and vaccine reactions — to a private contractor called Konza Health. This has nothing to do with product safety. It is a mass surveillance program dressed up as consumer protection. The CPSC has already broken the law. Federal rules require public notice and a comment period before requesting information from 10 or more entities — the agency's own spokesperson admitted that notice hasn't been given. On top of that, the CPSC threatened hospitals that refused with penalties under "information blocking" regulations, even though federal authorities cannot legally mandate private health data reporting. This same agency improperly released the personal health information of roughly 30,000 people between 2017 and 2019. Now they want records on millions more, held by a private contractor for at least 30 days. This is part of a broader pattern of the Trump administration grabbing Americans' medical records without consent or legal authority. I want you to publicly demand the CPSC halt this program immediately, launch oversight hearings, and cut off any funding that supports this contract with Konza Health until full legal compliance is demonstrated.
