I am writing my elected officials to ask that they hold Donald Trump accountable for market manipulation. This past week I took a $9000 loan out from my retirement savings to put towards medical debt that I have incurred as the result of a brain tumor. Seeing Donald Trump on television standing in the oval office bragging to his incredibly wealthy friends about how he just made them even wealthier (and after having just caused my retirement savings to plummet via blatant and deliberate market manipulation) feels like being kicked when I’m already down. I am using money that I have worked incredibly hard for to secure my retirement to pay for medical debt for a medical condition that I have through no fault of my own.
